HairKnowHow accurately measures the diameter of your client's hair down to a resolution of 0.01um, hair typically having a diameter of 60 to 120um.  

Included in the Hair Diameter Measurement Plus Test:

1). The average fibre diameter* across all the fibres tested is independent of length.

2). Average fibre diameter* at fixed positions as measured at known distances from the scalp. 

Please note: For these measurements to be accurate HairKnowHow will require the hair sample supplied via a pull test that must include the root.

This comprehensive Hair Diameter Measurement Test allows for changes in hair thickness to be detected over time, for example, following the adoption of clinical treatment. By testing changes in the hair at different lengths, it may be possible to detect when the client's hair changed and can inform clinical advice.
