How to take your hair sample
Examples of hair sample sizes required for thorough health and hair typing assessments, using the Gold Complete and Silver Hairknowhow services, respectively.

There are several ways you can obtain your hair sample
1. Take hair from your personal hairbrush
2. Collect hair during regular hairwashing
3. Collect during your regular salon visit
4. DIY or ask friends and family
For either the Hair Type or Complete Hair Analysis, your hair sample needs to be greater than 0.2g in weight with a minimum length of 3cm (1½inch). All the methods described below will ensure you can collect enough hair for your analysis.
