Different hair types are the product of both the hair diameter and degree of curl or wave. 

HairKnowHow accurately measures the diameter of your client's hair to a resolution of 0.01um, hair typically having a diameter of 60 to 120um and assesses the degree of curl - two crucial metrics used in determining hair type.

Included in the Client Hair Type Analysis:

• The average fibre diameter* across all the fibres tested

• The primary and secondary hair type and the percentage occurrence of each

• One high magnification image of the cuticle of your client's hair
